The 2025 Muzzle Run Football season kicks off on January 10th at 12:00 AM UTC. This document serves as the official guide for the season.
While the football game is still in development and will continue to improve, we’re excited to present a packed season filled with opportunities to compete and win as the game progresses.
Purpose: Discovery and practice.
Impact: Does not affect club statistics or league advancement.
Currency: USDT.
Structure:
Paid matches are organized as 4-team knockout tournaments ("Sit & Go" format), featuring a semi-final and a final.
Initially, matches will be open class, with all teams competing together. Divisions will be introduced as the pool of teams grows to ensure balanced competition.
Prize Distribution:
Winner: Receives double their buy-in amount.
Runner-up: Receives their buy-in amount back.
Revenue Allocation: The remaining buy-in (from two losing teams) is added to the end-of-year Masters Cup revenue pool.
The 2025 season features four leagues, each designed for varying levels of competition:
Teams: 20.
Entry: Automatic.
Format: Double round-robin (each team plays every other team twice).
Winner: Earns a seat to the final stage of the masters cup
Relegation: Bottom 5 teams are relegated to the Rising League at the end of the season.
Teams: 24.
Entry: Automatic.
Format: Double round-robin.
Promotion/Relegation:
Top 5 teams progress to the Premier League.
Bottom 5 teams are relegated to the Rookie League.
Note: The top 19 teams in the Rising League plus the relegated premier league teams from the final 2024 season will start in the Rising league in 2025
Teams: Open to any full team not in the Premier or Rising League.
Entry: To qualify for the league in a given month, teams must enter at least one paid match (sit & go) during the previous calendar month.
Format: Double round-robin (each team plays every other team twice).
Promotion: Top 5 teams advance to the Rising League.
Note: There is no Rookie League in January 2025. Teams not in Rising and Premier must qualify for the February edition through paid matches in January
Teams: Open to any full team not in the Premier League.
Entry: Manual registration required.
Format: Double round-robin (each team plays every other team twice).
Team Snapshot: League teams are snapshot at 12:00 AM GMT on the 1st of each month. Teams will not be locked, but play with the starting 11 and subs only.
Lineup Adjustments: Players can update substitutes and starting 11 for league matches only until the league month concludes.
60% of Froth football minting revenue is distributed across the leagues:
Premier League: 30%
Rising League: 15%
Common League: 10%
Rookie League: 5%
20% of revenue is allocated to Featured Main Event Tournaments held throughout the year.
Prizes are awarded to the top 3 teams in each division, with additional rewards for:
Golden Boot: Top scorer in each league.
Top Keeper: Best goalkeeper in each league.
The Masters Cup is the end-of-year premier event, featuring a knockout format that progressively involves teams from all leagues. Here is the proposed structure:
League Season Ends: 30 November.
Masters Cup Begins: 1 December.
Initial Round
Participants: All Rookie League teams.
Format: Knockout.
Progression: Top 4 teams advance to the Qualifying Round.
Qualifying Round
Participants: Rising League teams + 4 Rookie League qualifiers.
Format: Knockout.
Progression: Top 4 teams advance to the Eliminator Round.
Eliminator Round
Participants: Non-qualified Premier League teams + 4 Qualifying Round winners.
Format: Knockout.
Progression: Top 4 teams advance to the Final Stage.
Final Stage
Participants: 4 Eliminator Round qualifiers + up to 12 Premier League monthly qualifiers (maximum).
Total Teams: A maximum of 16.
Format: High-stakes knockout until a champion emerges.
Blocking: If a Premier League team wins multiple months, the total number of teams in the Final Stage is reduced, increasing the chances for blockers to win.

Final knockout stage.
Guaranteed: $50K USDT.
Guaranteed Payouts:
1st place: $25K USDT.
2nd place: $12K USDT.
3rd place: $6K USDT.
4th - 10th place: $1K USDT
Revenue Allocation: 20% of paid matches are allocated to the prize pool. If the allocation exceeds the guarantee, then the prizes increase proportionally.
Throughout the year, we’ll host special main event tournaments across divisions. These events will feature varying qualification requirements, primarily focused on paid matches, offering additional opportunities to compete and win.
